What Is a Round Panoramic Elevator?

A round panoramic elevator is a curved-cabin glass lift with full-height tempered glass panels that wrap around the cabin in a circular profile. Unlike traditional rectangular elevators, the round shape offers a 360-degree panoramic view from inside the cabin and creates a sculptural feature when viewed from outside. The frame is typically metallic, gold, silver, or bronze, and the entire lift functions as an architectural centrepiece.

Al Maamoura’s round panoramic elevators are installed in private villas across Al Kheesa, Al Thakhira, Al Thamama, Doha, Lusail, and The Pearl, as well as commercial installations including Pari Gallery at Hyatt Plaza.

All three finishes are available across the same round panoramic cabin shape. The right choice depends on the interior palette of the project.

Gold is the most requested finish in Qatar, particularly for villa entrance halls, palatial residences, and luxury hospitality projects. The warm metallic tone reflects natural light through the glass and pairs with classical, baroque, and contemporary Qatari interiors.

Silver suits modern and minimalist architecture, including commercial showrooms, high-end retail, and contemporary villas. The cooler tone works well in spaces with marble, white stone, and glass-heavy facades.

Bronze offers a warmer alternative to silver and a more restrained alternative to gold. The deeper metallic tone reads as both luxurious and grounded, suited to villas with wood, stone, and earth-tone interiors.

  • Private villas and palaces: the signature use case, positioned in entrance halls, atriums, or curved stairwells where the lift doubles as an architectural feature.
  • Luxury hotels and resorts: lobby installations where the lift becomes a visual focal point for arriving guests.
  • High-end retail and showrooms: including Pari Gallery at Hyatt Plaza, where round panoramic elevators are paired with escalators to move customers between retail floors in style.
  • Commercial towers: atrium installations in office buildings, mixed-use towers, and shopping destinations.
  • Restaurants and event venues: standout installations in fine dining, banqueting, and event spaces.

Every round panoramic elevator is built around the architecture of the host project. Standard options include:

  • Cabin shape: full round, half-round, or half-round with a flat back wall for retrofit installations.
  • Glass: full-height tempered safety glass panels, with optional external protection glass for outdoor or semi-outdoor installations.
  • Frame finish: gold, silver, or bronze metallic plating with corrosion-resistant treatment for Qatar’s coastal and high-humidity conditions.
  • Doors: round doors that open from the middle for a seamless aesthetic, or conventional double-leaf doors for higher-traffic installations.
  • Dome lighting: custom dome ceilings with integrated lighting above and below the cabin, an Al Maamoura signature design.
  • Cabin interior: wood side panels, marble flooring, custom handrails, and full LED lighting configurations.
  • Customisation depth: over 300 design options across glass tinting, handrails, flooring, lighting, ceiling, and control panels.
  • Manufactured locally: all cabin structures built in our Industrial Area factory, no import waiting times.
  • 40-day installation: from order confirmation to operational lift, in as little as 40 days.
  • All spare parts stocked in Qatar: every component held locally, so maintenance and repairs are never delayed.
  • Engineered for Qatar’s conditions: corrosion-resistant metallic finishes and tempered glass rated for Qatar’s high humidity, dust, and coastal exposure.

  • Local manufacturing: the cabin and frame are built in our Industrial Area factory.
  • Installation: our team installs the lift on-site, typically within 40 days of order confirmation.
  • Testing and handover: safety testing, certification, and walkthrough before handover.
  • Ongoing maintenance: scheduled maintenance contracts with all parts stocked locally for rapid response.
  • Both are glass-walled lifts designed as architectural features, but the cabin shape differs. A round panoramic elevator uses curved glass panels for a 360-degree view and a sculptural exterior profile, ideal for villas and showrooms where the lift sits in an open space. A square panoramic elevator uses flat glass panels and a square cabin footprint, which suits more conventional shaft positions. Al Maamoura builds both designs.

Yes. Al Maamoura installs round panoramic elevators in both new construction and existing villas across Doha, Lusail, Al Kheesa, Al Thakhira, and The Pearl. Half-round cabin configurations with a flat back wall are available for retrofit installations where a full-round footprint is not possible.

Yes. While most installations are in private villas, round panoramic elevators are also installed in luxury hotels, high-end retail, and mixed-use towers across Qatar.

Yes. Al Maamoura offers external protection glass and corrosion-resistant metallic finishes specifically engineered for Qatar’s outdoor and semi-outdoor conditions. This makes round panoramic elevators suitable for villa courtyards, hotel terraces, and outdoor commercial spaces.
